UPS advice needed

Approx once every month or two, the power will go out for 2-5 seconds max. The only time I lose power for longer than is during a serious storm that does serious damage.

Is there anything I can get (cheap) that will keep my desktop running for 5 seconds if I get a power drop? I'm not interested in buying a full blown UPS that will run the machine for 5 minutes.

My rig probably averages 375W. I doubt there is any kind of battery, or short duration UPS out there, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Grab a cheap power meter first to determine how much load you're drawing typically.

You're probably looking at a 800-1000VA unit though as the bare minimum, which runs about $100.

You might be able to get away with a 400-500VA unit though if you literally only need seconds, but I think most of them have overload protection so it might not even work if it detects you've exceeded it's rating.
