Default 460 SLI on 650w?

I'm looking to get another 460 but am unsure if my psu can handle 2 plus everything else. Reviews show 2 460's averaging around 470w @ load so that plus my 2500k o/c'ing it doesn't look promising. Even if I could get away with it my power supply only has 2 pci-e power cables and my current 460 needs both to power it so I would need another cable for the second card.

What do you think?

If I need to upgrade I found an Antec gamer series 900w psu on Newegg for $119, would this be a good choice?

You'll be fine with a 650W, the TDP of the 460 is 150W, so with OCing two of them shouldnt be pulling more then 350-375W.

not a lot of play room left, but I would say the 460 SLI would be fine on the 650w as long as they are not OC and the 2500k isn't ridiculously OC. Reviews I have seen have 460 pulling peak under 170w each (normally less than that), so 340w for SLI, so there is definitely room on a 650w. I would say the reviews you have read with 470w for 460 in sli is likely total system power consumption (not just the gpus). That said ensure that your PSU is quality, and not a cheapy.

650W on a good unit is more than enough.

I got that with a 430 GT as physx on my i7 with so much other crap inside.
Its worked great for over a year now.

I use to run a 460 SLI i7 920 setup heavily overclocked on a corsair tx650w and under full folding load it could pull 500w at the wall so I'd say it's a fairly even pairing.

my sig system is powering 3 videocards (460GTX/9800GTX+/GTS250)over a 650 xfx and they work fine, kept in folding 24/7. you should be ok. Have also a radeon 4350 doing the display.
