Psu selection is imho as important a choice as any other component in any pc, particularly high performance computers. Unfortunately what is written on the box sometimes isn't worth the ink it was written with.

An excellent article by Hardware Secrets lays out what I'm talking about. It's a very interesting read.

well i kind think the receipt is pointless if the product is under warranty then it's should be covered but that just my 2 cents adn we all know what thats worth ahahaha sorry to hear about the card man sucks eh

Then make a case with them, and get your recipt.

At this point though it might be more effort than its worth to try, so perhaps you should just cut your losses and go for something else PSU wise.

I bought I used Coolmaster off a friend years ago, it died - some caps died... Payed for another one directly from Coolmaster as the guy lost his invoice - so CM "gave me a deal"... same BS happened after 3 months. Bought a POS noname from futureshop and ran that for over a year no issues until I bought my hx850.

I'll never buy CM again.

I read a Hardware secrets PSU review on a 430 watt Coolermaster unit once, and basically coolermaster relabelled a lower wattage unit as 430, and just lied. I made a mental note to stay away from that company.

To my knowledge CM PSU are pretty much screwed up throughout the whole range. Except for some which are still reasonably good but still lousy. CM PSU's aren't that cheap either and a FSP can be bought at almost similar price but with better quality. My choices are FSP or Seasonic PSU's only. Makes me wonder how does that CM PSU even have a 80+ Bronze certification in the first place

CM are just not in for PSU. For case they are awesome, very good feature and quality with decent price. But well, you can't be good everywhere...Just stay with the good unit that are rebrandred CWT, FSP, Flowerpower and Seasonic and don't touch the rest.

Edit : Anyway Canada Computer is epic crap. bought a GTX 275 long time ago, was DOA and the only thing they wanted to do is a refund with 35% restocking fee and for sure I pay the shipping. I ended up showing the e-mail to BFG which decided to pay for my shipping since I got crap no help from CC.

as a 850 psu.
