I will get a EVGA 9800GT 1GB card after 3 days ...my psu is FSP saga II 350w ...I ve calculated psu wattage using antec calculator & extreme calculator.
Antec Power Supply Calculator
and
eXtreme Outer Vision - eXtreme tools for computer enthusiasts
amd x2 5600+ ,m2n68 am+,1 x 2gb ddr2 800,1 sata samsung 160gb HDD,1 x 80mm fan ,1 HP dvd rw ,evga 9800gt 1gb

calculator shows 268w for my system ..is this a good combination ?

evga site shows that 9800gt 1gb requires
Requirements
Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 26 Amps.)

I never, ever, use wattage calcualtors, they are inaccurate.

For choosing a power unit, I would suggest a CX430 from Corsair. They are dirt cheap, good OEM and your basic unit. FSP has never been the best of brands out there, so I am not going to suggest them.

But the cX430 would be more than enough for your current setup.

If it was me, I wouldn't even take it out of its package.

I am sure it can run the system, but I wouldn't want it in mine.

My thoughts at least,

I have to second that after talking to several guys online and at Canada computers ( cause i am always looking for lower end psu, customers hate spending money it just kills me ) they try not to run them after having a few bad experiences with them so i was not about to find out myself.

not to mention i have replaced a few of these units ( they died ) in the last few weeks.

I can't trust a PSU that doesn't have any review detailing its Vripple and some test at its full rated capacity, so I'll have to concur with Soul and gingerbee.
The ratings say it will work, but if you read enough Hardware Secrets PSU reviews and watch their smoke videos... A lot of brands out there slap a label on their PSU expecting their users to not actually use all the nonexistent "capacity". Anyway unless every game you play has FPS limiting, your GPU will be pushed anyway, regardless of the game settings because it will be trying to push 150 FPS or something.

A *good* 350W power supply will actually run that setup (knowing by experience of pairing a Core2Duo E6300 + 2 hard drives + Radeon 4850 on a Dell 375W power supply). Heck I have a Phenom 9500 quad core + GeForce 7900 running on my parents' PC, with a HP 300W power supply and it somehow survived the OCCT power supply stability test. (not sure how HP is with their PSUs however, so I'm expecting the HP to fail some day now)

I'd say you'll be perfect fine. SAGAII maybe is not a top notch PSU but is decent and it will not burn your rig.
Wattage wise you'll need 7A for GPU and maybe ~10A for the rest of the rig (all those amps are in load).

unstable voltages, shortening life of components, in some cases drastically.

as long as itswithin spec, and not running full bore hot?

thats the one?

if it can do 200-225 watts all day long on the 12v then i guess ok :) kinda close though :p
