Oh sh&t ! Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think my mobo is dead. No beebs. In fact, nothing more happened: the cpu fan and video card fan went on, but nothing more... If your not getting any beeps then work backwards.

Pull out the video card and see if it posts
Then the memory
Then the cpu

And if you can hook up a 8 pin hook up only 4 not 8

Did everything you said, and got no beebs either ways...Guess I was wright...Mobo's dead

So you are trying all this out of the case and not INSIDE the case? Make sure your mobo is on a box so it is isolated from anything that could short it out.

Yes, everything is out of the case, and the mobo is lying on an anti-static plastic bag.
Unless you guys have any ideas, I guess I'll have to get myself a new board :-(

You mean that your system had this problem before? On the same motherboard?

What I mean, is that I already had that kind of problem with this board, but I managed to fix it and everything has been running great untill I decided ot install the pc power and cooling psu.

But hey!!! guess what guys...the problem wasn't the psu, with your help, I isolated the problem : my mobo is dead. As a mather of fact, I purchased a p5k-e today and installed it with the silencer, and everything went A-1.

Thank you all for your help and lightning fast replys...I think I'll stick around !!!
