Default Powersupply suggestions for i7 hexa core + gtx 580 sli

Hi
I'm going to build an i7 hexa core with gtx 580 sli. What is a good kilowatt powersupply. I know enermax is good but it is bit too expensive, is coolermaster any good? Any suggestions are appreciated!

I don't know if it'll fit your budget but the antec high current pro 80+ gold seems pretty good.

NCIX.com - Buy Antec High Current Pro 1000W 24PIN ATX12V Active PFC 80 Plus Gold SLI Modular Power Supply 80MM Fan - HCP-1000 In Canada.

well, you may want to look at the hx line from corsair. 1kw and above, gives you room to spare for clocking, limiter off, etc.

A good quality 750w will run this setup, overclocked, just fine.

Wall Draw on my single 580 + 4ghz i7 930 is <450w. Again, this is wall draw, so when you account for ~80% PSU efficiency, I'm not even loading the PSU to 50%.

I know it's not a 1Kw, but I got a smoking deal on a Seasonic M12D from NCIX - it's a 80+ Silver Certified Semi-modular PSU. Don't buy it at regular price, it usually goes on sale for about $129.00. Alternatively, you could go with a PSU from corsair as dangtx suggested.

Just dont cheap out when buying a power supply!

I'd strongly recommend the Corsair HX850: NCIX.com - Buy Corsair Professional HX850W 850W ATX 12V 70A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply Active PFC 140MM Fan - CMPSU-850HX In Canada.

The price is a bit on the high side, but it's a Seasonic manufactured power supply with excellent performance. It does run a bit loud for my liking as I have an HX650, but other than that, it's an extremely solid unit. Plus, modular is always nice :)

As for kilowatt units, as suggested before, Antec makes very high quality power supplies. I believe there was a video on Youtube of the 1.2 kw model of the Antec HCP's delivering over 1600w's of power.

Only worry I have for the power supply is that it is two rail instead of one (i heard single rail works better with CF or SLI). How is the two rail configured? Which modular plug is rail 1 and which is rail 2. Can someone with the same PSU educate me?
