Antec Earthwatts 750

hey guys, I have been shopping around for PSUs for a system I am building, and I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the new EA750?

From what I understand, it is semi-modular.... how long are the cables? Would they be long enough to be hidden in a larger case like an Obsidian or FT02?

Also, would it provide enough juice to potentially power two 6870s and an overclocked x4 955?

It's currently on sale at newegg.ca on the cheap:

nice unit, havent used many though compared to the 400-500 ones.

the modular part dont worry about it, shouldnt give you much trouble unless you only need one connection from it :)

it will be enough juice since both cards will eat around 250-260w on the 12v line, add another 200 for oc'ed cpu etc. so basically it can be pulled off with lesser juice, nice to have some headroom though.

110 is not exactly super special price, though.

also, from what it says on the side of the pic it should be a seasonic model made, vs delta (no D at the end) unless they changed oem's lately

Your best reference in PSU is Johny guru, just read this review on the PSU and make your decision. If you dislike it I would go for the silverstone strider 750.

You can just dig in these PSU review and find the one you like.

interesting. his tested unit is a delta, although the sticker has dropped the d :) so they are probably all delta's . wonder if the new 500 watters in the earthwatts series that dont sport a d are also delta? either way, nice bugger

looks like newegg has discontinued the strider 750 but they still have it at NCIX for $132.12 (plus mail in rebate). Good deal?

Yeah I would get it. Strider is a very solid Enhance unit.

even if its modular, i find it a little bit expensive vs black friday type deals. if it was an 850 it wouldnt be too shaby, i mean, bad.

Yeah pretty nice PSU for the price. but I just saw that at newegg so GET IT WHILE WOME REMAIN! if led dosen't matter to you ;)

the 1000 watt kingwin is tempting, but the fact of the matter is that i just dont NEED that much power haha

Canada Computers has the antec truepower new 750w for $99 (black friday only)
