Time to upgrade the power supply?
Currently I have a Phenom II 955 and a GTX 470 running off of an OCZ ModXstream 600w.
I'm planning on upgrading to the i7 970 in a few weeks, should I upgrade the PSU while I'm at it?

I think you still have enough power, easily, given you aren't powering like 10 hard drives.

If nothing else changes, you're fine.

i would patiently wait for a super sale on a good 850 watter like the m12d. as in 99$ at the ncix. buy that and it will probably last you another few years/builds. you will probably load it around or below 50% as well.
the ocz may probably show its age.
