Dude, you do NOT need a 700w PSU for that build. A decent 500 watter would do, hell I bet even the corsair 450w would do it, and those go for like $40 if you look.

I could go a couple of dollars more, but right now the Corsair 600G looks like a good bet for $90. Possibly one of the Antecs.

It probably can, but the "future-proof" wouldn't be there. And would it be efficient...

While I'm usually one to recommend a psu that is more in line with the actual power needed by the system rather than over-spec, using a 450VX is cutting it extremely close once you factor in any overclocking. My own 450VX shuts down once my heavily oc'd system is running furmark/prime
(i7860/gtx470). A mild oc is perfectly fine with 24/7 use but I thought I'd just throw in a warning based on my own personal experience.

For sure get a corsair. I've made multiple builds with them all still work flawlessly. Best quality imo.

I actually got the Seasonic SS-750HT 750W for $95 from NCIX. Not modular, but a great PSU by the looks, and Bronze cert too.
