Wink 24 pin + two eps12V + one 4 pin

Hey all! I'm trying to find a power supply that can power my Tyan S4985 Thunder n4250QE. As the thread titles indicates, it needs a 24pin, two 8 pin eps12v, and one 4 pin. Any suggestions?

looks you have to run 2 PSU's for EPS for other cpu's to feed that monster you got

Note: don't mix pci-e with eps connectors for the polarity changes

nice unit, lets find some good reviews on it.

if not a whole lot will be present in the system, it should be fine with the 4 cpus loaded.

I'm just worried about it's Dynamic Load Balancing.. I'm gonna be dropping 4 opteron 8356's in it, thats about 40 amps under full load on the 12V rails plus the draw of the video card (I'm planning on getting a gtx 480).

Most decent 850w + PSU will have two EPS 12vs and a 4-pin also. However, for a quad-quad, I'd recommend at least a 1000w PSU with one rail. Please do not get a PSU with several 12v rails as these have been known to cause problems in these boards...

corsair/seasonic single rail? you may be right. i haven't played much with quad boards and off the shelf power supplies. the server ones i've dealth with probably have one rail.

one gtx 480 to begin with, maybe another down the line. I was thinking about getting a pc power and cooling silence 910 but it only has two eps12V.

don't confuse 8 pin pci-e with EPS (4x4) connectors! for polarity changes in those plugs

tyan don't even supply a PSU for MB only gives spec's
- EPS12V power supply
- EPS12V/SSI v3.5 (24+8+8)

power connectors

only so far found enermax supports quad, 910 silencer only does (2x4)=8 where you need 16
