Would a 650HX/M12II 620 cover potential upgrade paths? And the 650hx would be the better choice between the two right?

I'd recommend the HX 650 yes, but the HX 750 I linked is probably best. 750W is usually enough for most people.

For some time yeah, depending on what you plan on running in the future. Mainstream upgrades will be fine, if you plan on buying the top end GPUs every few months then spring for a more powerful PSU.

Depends on what those upgrade paths are. The HX650 is marginally better quality than the M12II 620W, but it doesn't really perform any better.

Morale of the story is the PSU is the last component you want to cheap out on. A good one will last longer, save you power, and wont endanger your other components. Enjoy

Not great, but not exploding material either unless it's defective. Dismissing an uncommon brand as low quality is just as bad as trusting a generic brand. Oftentimes you can find PSUs that are basically identical to units that are commonly considered to be top of the line being sold for a lot less by other lesser-known brands. The HX1000 is a good example of this; there are at least half a dozen so-called "generic" versions of it.
