My System Specs

Default Silverstone Strider 1.5 kW

Hey guys......can folks here confirm that this PSU will be fine on a standard 15Amp House Circuit?

Good lord. Someone's going Tri-SLI 480's.

As for your question, it should be ok as long as it's the only thing on the circuit. At 15 amps, your plug is capable of outputting 1800W at the wall. That PSU is min 85% efficient, so it should draw a max of 1725W at full load. But you shouldn't get there with Tri-SLI.

Huh......that means only the PSU plugged into the wall outlet.....nothing else in either that same wall outlet or even on the same Circuit...? I presently have my HX 1kw plugged into the top outlet and a power bar plugged into the bottom (with monitor and a bunch of peripherals plugged into that).........

Yes...this Fall / Winter project - "Regulus" Tri Sli 480's and 2 separate Loops....I can get a Strider 1.5 kW for $350....

Depends how much you load it. The ST1500 is certified 80Plus Silver, which means it is at least 85% efficient at maximum load. Therefore, in theory it can draw up to 1765W of power from the wall. But you will not be loading the PSU to 100% anyway, so you should be more or less fine depending on what else you have running off the same circuit as SugarJ pointed out.

On same Circuit is:
24" Monitor
5.1 Speakers
Printer
Modem

Another question for you Zero.....this seams to e a good price...I do want the "over-head" as I will be adding the additional 480 sometime later this summer....if did get this Strider and install it in my present Rig...is the high over-head a big deal? In other words, is the PSU only powering what it needs.....I'm not flushing Watts down the drain....if this makes sense..?

A PSU will only supply as much power as is required by the components connected to it. The ST1500 should be reasonably efficient at the loads of your current system. A 15A circuit should be enough for those things along with your PC including a third GTX 480.
