The only lower-wattage BFG PSUs left on the market are the bad ones.

Noted, I always thought BFG had actually improved in this department since the Guy from Ultra left to work for BFG's PSU Dept. Interesting to say the least.

They did improve in that department. Then all the good lower-wattage units they introduced went EOL, and the only ones left are the older models that are not very good.

Yep, I can confirm what zero is saying. I was doing some research for my budget build before and it seems every single decent low end psu bfg ever made is oel and gone. The corsair 400W CX is pretty much the best budget psu out there but I'd also consider the OCZ 500W Stealthxstream if you can get it for $20 if saving money, even $10, is the ultimate goal. If you need a bit more juice I think there's a 500W Seasonic on newegg for a decent price.

I should also mention that if you need 'more quietness' just do a fan swap. on the psu

Seasonic, Antec, and Corsair have PSUs that would be sufficient for decent mini-ITX machines. Most ITX cases either come with small PSUs already or have mounting space for an ATX or mATX PSU anyway.
