My System Specs

Default To buy or not to buy

I found this deal on Newegg.ca today.
Newegg.ca - ETASIS ET750 True 750W, Max 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies

Can someone tell me if this is worth buying?
I am setting up a i7 920 on a Gigabyte X58 board with a Sapphire 5770 video card.

Thanks it advance.

Please don't go cheap on such a nice built, especially on a PSU... because if it dies, there is a good chance it will bring with it a few other components.
For a small price increase, choose the Corsair TX750W if you wish to have that power output level.

Default Thanks

I am actually looking at that PSU. I found it at BestDirect.ca but they take too long to ship. I rather find a company closer to Montreal yet not have to pay the PST and that price match. :)

Thanks for the advise.

Long to ship? Bestdirect can ship parts overnight, and I'm in Laval...

well if you want fast ship and around montreal just go to your local microbytes and buy the best PSU they have. Most of the time you can find enermax corsair and antec so you will have it today and will have a good PSU. Or, I would wait for tonight for the NCIX sales to start and see what good deal they have and then order the best good PSU deal and take epxress puro air so you will have it by the end of the week.

Bestdirect has the 8.99 shipping promo but it takes 7 business days.
Microbytes may be an option but they can't match the price of Bestdirect.

I will wait and see NCIX's specials.

Thanks guys.

Agreed 3.0 100%. Never skimp on the PSU or in the end it may be the part that nukes the rig or other components.

Default Found a PSU

I found a PSU on Redflagdeals. A guy from Rimouski was selling a brand new Antec Quattro 850 power supply for $125.00. I couldn't afford spending more then that.

I've read some forums and it seems like this is a pretty good PSU.

Thanks for all your help.

Attention people!

ETASIS PSUs are server-grade units and are more reliable than 95% of what is on the market. That price is a steal.

Here are some reviews of ETASIS-built PSUs:

Etasis ET850 850W Review
