Default UPSBS

Ok.....

I have an APC 1200RS UPS running my main rig.

This machine runs about 550 watts full bore folding....

The 1200Rs is rated 780 watts.....

------------

The UPS is going straight to 'Overload' condition on power failure or brownout.

It's got a new battery.

Any thoughts ?

Is there anyway to use the powerchute software to get some info on whats going on? error codes or the like? Did you make sure to tell the ups that it had a new battery, or do a battery calibration? Sorry if this is very basic stuff.. just got my first ups (apc 750 rackmount) a few days ago.

That means the actual UPS circuitry must be failing, so the UPS is probably a goner.
