Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400 Watt w/ 120mm Fan at Memory Express Computers

is 400 watt's enough from this good corsair?
gonna be running a phenom II x2 550 BE with a asus m4a785td-v evo, only 1 hard drive, 1 dvd, 4 gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram, and a case with no more then 3 fans max. will try to unlock for 4 cores and might try overclocking a little, possibly a 100 dollar graphics card

is 400 watt's of corsair enough? was only gonna buy 500 watter in the first place

its the cheapest corsair i will purchase and i know dell uses 350 wat psu's to power i5 system's in the xps 8000 , possibly the i7's too but im not sure on that. more concerned about minor overclocking

You should be ok, but you're going to be pushing the boundary of that PSU's rated capability with overclocking.

I was using a cx400 with a gtx260 for half a year before I sold it and upgraded to tx750, you should have no problems at all. If your gpu has one 6pin pcie connecter, it'd be the perfect psu. In fact, I'm planning on buying another one of those little monsters to make my dad's computer quieter

The CX400 would be enough for that. Just don't go crazy and add a second video card or anything.

You should be good, Corsair is good quality. I've always been partial with the VX450 , as I've used it in two builds.
Very very nice PSU.

just a bit, I had a athlon 7750 back then that was running 3.4ghz I believe... and the gtx260 was running 700/1400/1100. I didn't fold back then, so can't comment on 24/7 loads the case was quite warm though, just as warm as my tx750... infact, imma make a new thread right now asking why my tx750 is so warm
