My System Specs

Default ~$80 PSU that will run 5850.
Will a corsair VX450 run a 5850 in the rig below? If not can you guys recommend some PSU's that can and is <$80.

I am going to second the TX750W I have always trusted my power to corsair, in fact right now I am using there Professional series HX850W 850W.

750W+ for a single 5850 is overkill, unless you're looking for some future-proofing against adding an extra GPU. A good 450W would likely be perfectly fine, but the VX450 only comes with a single PCI-E connector (the 5850 needs two). Grab the VX550W and you'll be laughing. Price match it at NCIX to whoever's got the best price.

If you can, NCIX has the Antec Quartto (both 1000W and 850W) on sale now for quite cheap. I know its overkill and maybe over budget, but what the hell, its 1000W. :). You can Crossfire later

Honestly, I'd stay clear of them. They'll work, but they're definitely known for high voltage ripple, and I've seen a few too many threads involving systems with long-term problems on their account. A budget is a budget, but if your system deserves a 5850, it deserves a decent PSU as well.

The ModXStream line is not good except for the 400W model which is made by a different manufacturer than the others. Out of OCZ's current lineup, the only models that I'd say are good are the Gold series, which are way overpriced anyway.
