Default Corsair HX 850w vs XFX 850w Black Edition

I don't see any difference between these PSU. Corsairs I can get for 178 and XFX for 198. They seem to be both exactly the same psu. Corsair does have a 7 where XFX is 5. The XFX seems to have a more quality finish on the outside by the looks of it though.

Help?

Performance wise, yes they're on the same tier but Corsair is a CWT and XFX a Seasonic.

O rly? I thought both were MD12's.

Im assuming sea sonic design is better. Most reviews I have looked at saw the XFX 850w scoring slightly higher from the reviewers and in benchmarks.

No. The Corsair is a CWT DSG platform.

I would say they are both the same performance-wise. In this case, I would actually go with whichever one you like the looks of more....

@SKYMTL: I know they're both pretty darn quiet, but any opinion on which one is quieter?

So is the XFX.

Ya, performance wise, they're pretty much the same and differences are within reasonable measure.
To be honest, I'd go for the Corsair. The XFX's colour choice is rather "weird" to me and besides, Corsair gives you an extra 2 years of warranty.

Personnaly I'd go with the XFX, always had corsair and they are like one of the most popular brand. Why not to try a new one:P Seasonic is rock solid so! green and black time!

Ask for more.
