I'm really wondering if my Corsair 1kW is perhaps "hindering" performance of my Rig....or maybe I'm losing it,,but a number of weeks ago I ran a Vantage Bench and got the P34.1 in my Sig...I have not for the life of me been able to get past 32.5 since (no changes to Rig at all)
Also, when I bump my CPU OC to 4 Ghz from 3.8 Ghz no increase in Vantage score at all (maybe 100 pts)...I've always been somewhat sceptacle of whether the HX 1kW is sufficient for my Rig...no crashes or BSOD's to speak of, but odd Vantage results........
Hence thinking of moving to the Zeus and selling the Corsair.
I doubt your Corsair PSU is holding you back, having said that, to answer your other question... the way the rail design is split up, you can use the Zeus PSU "as is" with out any issue as long as you ensure you balance/spread the load of your various components over the rails.

For the most part, switching the PSU to single rail mode, and buying/using single rail PSU's gives you peace of mind and simpler configuration(you don't have to bother with figuring out how to best spread the load). Other than that Multi-Rail and Single-Rail PSU's are *usually* about equal.

If you do end up picking up the Zeus, I guarantee, that aside from difficulties getting to the rail switch if you get one of the ones from the unlucky batch, you'll love the Zeus PSU. Not quite sure your power requirements push the need(over the corsair anyways) for it however...

Yeah ok thanks Chilly....I always feel like I'm pushing the envelope with this Corsair...no biggie if I go the Zeus route (piece of mind) and I can sell the Corsair for around $220 (I think)...sent Linus an email to see when these will be in Stock as I haven't noticed them in stock for quite sometime, maybe they only stock as ordered..

Cheers
TGIF...beers n wine tonight ...hopefully I won't have to apologize to anyone on here tomorrow afternoon... ;)

No worries, you're forgiven in advance, though *most other* people do seem to have better self control when it comes to keeping off the forums then me when... in a compromised state of mind

Ha....at least you don't have to go back over your Posts....feel shame...then start doing the "mass apology PM's"

ha ha ha...just thought if I get ripped tonight then get on here I'll likely wind up with:
1- Vertex SSD
1- Zeus PSU

then feel shame in the morning...
