What an oversight on Silverstone's part, is it actually a warranted use of the PSU?
Yes, using the SilverSton Zeus in Single Rail mode is warranted, only the first batch of ZM1200M had the issue of the switch being hard to get to/and hole covered with a "warranty void if broken" sticker. SilverStone came out and publicly apologized and said that anyone that happens to get one of these ZM1200M's, that you will not void the warranty by removing said sticker and accessing the switch.

Just a small oversight in the first batch of them. It's an excellent and amazing PSU otherwise!

I wouldn't call that a small oversight.

It is when it only affected some early 300 units and most of them were recalled before hitting store shelves, leaving only an unknown few with the issue in the market, at least this is what SilverStone reps say.

I was going to get the Enermax, but they have issues with the Classified.

On the Zeus 1.2kW I noticed 4 Modular PCI-E outputs....if I purchased this PSU for my Tri Sli 280's would each output service 1 GPU via the 6 Pin and 6 + 2 Pin Modular PCI-E cable...as in 3 sets of them therefore leaving one of the PCI-E outputs on the Zeus unpopulated?

See Pic

Thanks Guys

Correct

What I'm not sure about is if there is a fourth 6 and 6+2pin cable included in the package or not, normally I'd check for you but since I have owned 3 Modular SilverStone PSU's and the cables are all mixed in one box, so I have 6 or 8 of them, so me checking for you is of no use

Thnkas Chilly....would it be advantageous with this config to switch to Single Rail mode as Zlo did....?
I'm really wondering if my Corsair 1kW is perhaps "hindering" performance of my Rig....or maybe I'm losing it,,but a number of weeks ago I ran a Vantage Bench and got the P34.1 in my Sig...I have not for the life of me been able to get past 32.5 since (no changes to Rig at all)
Also, when I bump my CPU OC to 4 Ghz from 3.8 Ghz no increase in Vantage score at all (maybe 100 pts)...I've always been somewhat sceptacle of whether the HX 1kW is sufficient for my Rig...no crashes or BSOD's to speak of, but odd Vantage results........
Hence thinking of moving to the Zeus and selling the Corsair.

Provided thier are 3 x 6 + (6 + 2) I'll be fine...looking at the HC Review of this PSU it looks like the PCI-E cables are that type, as in one end plugs into the PSU and the other end has a daisy chain style with 1 - 6 Pin and 1 - 6+2 Pin.....sounds confusing eh?...
