Default question about corsair 750w silencer

im wondering if i could afford to put one of these http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/PID-MX25065(ME).aspx on my card without overdrawing my PSU, now i did a online calc and it recommends me running a 753 watt PSU so i figured my 750 would be fine, but i dont know if the extra wattage from this multifan cooler will put me into to much overdraw. now i probobly will be replaceing this with a 1000W when the ATI 5 series hits the shelfs, and dips to my price zone but that may not be until 2010.

What you linked to is for a 4870X2 card, not for a 3870 X2 as listed in your sig.

I can't see using one of these vice stock cooling making enough difference to your system that and upgrade to your PSU would be required, and if we're talking about the hardware in your sig, I can't see it coming near to a 753W requirement.

Corsair doesn't make the Silencer.

I don't know what PSU you have because Corsair does not make the Silencer. PC Power & Cooling does, however. Either way, your 750W is more than adequate for your build. Don't bother getting a 1000W PSU.

And you'll have to consider a different cooler because that one is for a 4870X2, which is not what you have.

That cooler might use at most 10 watts or so, much less than 1 hard drive. The average fan uses around 3-5 watts, 3 small ones should be no problemo.
