My System Specs

Default Push a Modu82+ to its limit?

Stygian (will be):
Phenom II 720BE (unlocked 4th core) @ 3.4-3.5 Ghz
Asetek LCLC-240mm version w/ 4x 120mm fans in push/pull
XFX Gf-8200 motherboard
GTX280 graphics
2x hard drives

All powered by this:
NCIX.com - Buy Enermax EMD525AWT MODU82+ 525W ATX12V V2.3 24PIN Power Supply - EMD525AWT In Canada.

Am I pushing the limits of this psu? I believe with the approx 85% efficiency ill be pulling at 70-80% load on the psu, it should be fine. Im just wondering what everyone else thinks.

We shall see sir! At least its a quality psu, unlike a cheap cm or "other" brand. System is supposed to be energy efficient, so hopefuly the hybrid power and CnQ will work happily on the OC'd/unlocked AM3.

I'd say you'll use ~350W.

We shall see! I plan on putting the whole system together sans gtx280 first and measuring the total peak load in watts using my kill-a-watt meter ( a very handy tool btw).

Methinks 400W load, that PSU can handle 600W peak I would think.

well i been using a CM PSU for years and no problem.

its all luck of draw. chances of a lemon are just a tad bit higher on cheaper brands
