My System Specs

Default Enough Power with an HX620

I'm curious if you guys could let me know if I'm pushing this PSU to hard.

Crosair HX620 (the modular one)

Powering

AMD 9850 BE
8GB RAM (6400 OCZ)
150GB Raptor
750GB Seagate 7200
4870 512MB
2 DVD Drives
I forget the board but i think its the M3N-HT or the TA770 A2+ / TA780 M2+
I believe its the biostar one and I know it has built in HDMI (onboard) I got it off of a user from this forum in London, Ontario so I'm sure I can get exact board if that helps out!

(not my machine its my brothers)

Thanks any help is greatly appreciated!

seems fine to me. i would think that's at the max so i would not be adding anymore parts to it later on.this is jmo.

I don't like running psu really over 60% that way it last. again this is just my opinion

Not even half of power is used in gaming at stock speeds. A setup somehow similar.

You should be fine...I'm running a 9800 GX2 with a similar build on a HX 520, no issues so far.

Yeah i don't think you'll run into any issues unless you (or your brother) decide to have fun overclocking

Considering people have run quad cores and 8800GTXs in SLI on the HX620, this setup is nothing to that PSU. So you should be fine.

I realize it's not the same power supply but it's close, I run the following on a Antec Truepower Trio 650W Power Supply

4 x Antec Tricool 120MM DBB Fans
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad Core Processor LGA775 Kentsfield 2.40GHZ 1066FSB @ 2.93GHZ
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro LGA775 w/2500RPM 45CFM Fan
Asus P5Q ATX LGA775 P45 Motherboard
OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 8GB (4X2GB) DDR2-800 CL6-6-6-18 Dual Channel
Diamond Black Edition HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 ATI Radeon Video Card
3 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB SATA 3GB/S 7200RPM 16MB Cache Hard Drive
2 x LG GSA-H62L Black SATA DVD+RW 18X8X16 DVD-RW 18X6X16 DL 10X Lightscribe DVD Writer
1 x LG HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW GGC-H20L SATA Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Drive
Razor Lachesis Laser Mouse w/Goliathus Pad - USB
Razer Tarantula Keyboard w/Battle Light - USB
Logitech Rumble Pad 2 Wireless w/Dongle USB

Never Skips a Beat, the Corsair is an Excellent power Supply, I think your good to go.
