Default enermax revolution 85+ vs Corsair 1000HX vs Ultra X3 1000w

Wondering which PSU is better.

I want something that will power a big system no problem. Both seem like solid PSU's. Looking for opinions.

It'll be used in an i7 setup, watercooled, with dual cards, with a 3rd card in the future.

(probably nvidia 280's)

EDIT: just saw an ultra x3 1kw psu for sale for $220 brand new. how does it stack up against the other 2 psu's?

I would take the Enermax 85+ any day over the HX1000
bit-tech.net | Review - Enermax Revolution 85+ 950W PSU

Plus the 1050W version is just about 10 bucks more than the 950 version. Very worthy buy.

In the last two years, Enermax has put out solid unit after solid unit. The finish on the Revolution series is also to die for.

Corsair for their support alone. I have heard absolute nightmares about Canadians trying to RMA their Enermax units.

Forgot about that, good point. I'm glad I never had any problems with my old Liberty. On a 620HX at the moment.

I'm glad you never had problems with your old liberty as well .
I've got a 1000HX and it seems to be doing the job quite well, although i have yet to really test it.
Noise wise, my enermax *although its a different model* and 1000hx are about the same noise level... 0!

Yeah I have the Pro82+ from SKYMTL's review a fairly while back. It's absolutely silent.
