Default PSU question

Corsair HX 1000W Modular Power Supply w/ Dual +12V Customer Reviews

Will that run my i7 920, GTX 295, Gigabyte mobo, 3x2GB ddr3 ram, 2HDD's ect.

I mostly need it to run enough power through the 8-pin connectors to run the CPU. Thanks.

That PSU is overkill for what you listed. A decent 750 or 850 watt would be more than enough. If you want a 1KW PSU than that is a good choice.

Many around here swear by the the corsair TX650 or TX750. That many people can't be wrong. Personally, I use the antec TPQ850. Plenty of power and futureproof but a little more expensive.
