I was also able to get the Antec TPQ 850 for about $150 tax included on sale. No high pitched whine like jdrom's, though. I'm very happy with it.

I don't understand how Ultra even has a patent on it; I thought it was thrown out of court too?

Modular Power supply has existed long before Ultra; not necessarily in computers but in other electronics they sure have...


lots of places lay claim to them; even performancepcs!

That and I'm pretty sure HP had the patent first in like 99 or 2000

Wow show me the store with this type of sale now that i'm looking for one best I can find is $189 (+ tax)

They don't get that cheap anymore ever since our dollar dropped down again...

Sometimes though it is part of the NCIX weekly sales for $180 I think. Haven't see it at $150 lately.

I am all for one when companies share innovations in Computer tech.

FWIW, I have been looking at other Modular PSU's Should I switch one day from my Norm.

I'd love to see the articles on that one...that sucks.
