Default Why are Tx750 recommended so much over Silencer 750?

I have noticed everyone recommending a tx750 over the silencer 750?

I have noticed the silencer is typically cheaper because it goes on sale often and it has gotten better reviews than the tx750 at johnnyguru and anandtech.

So I am wondering why is the corsair tx750 always recommended on system builds and the such.

PC power and cooling has always been a top name with great history, so why is corsair being so recommended lately.

I'm wondering that myself. I'll never use a different brand PSU.
But I'll argue that I see the corsair typically cheaper.

I have one of each, and have no problems recommending either one. It does seem that the PC P&C is often on sale these days, but that wasn't always the case.

Only reason I can think of for folks not to recommend the PC P&C is a belief that the 80mm fan can get loud. That hasn't been my experience.

Go with whichever is the cheapest IMO. Both are great PSUs though I believe the Silencer is longer whereas the Corsair is standard ATX size, if that matters.

The PC P&P now is different than the PC P&P that were made a few years ago.

Some people say the quality isn't the same but they are still a great PSU.. slightly underrated I would say due to such massive marketing by Corsair.

PC P&P = OCZ and since their customer service/quality is nothing like it used to be (my opinion of course) I am fully a Corsair fan. I also really like BFG PSU's as their customer service is also top notch.

Agreed....totally..The "marketing" of PC P&C simply isn't thier compared to Corsair. I stand behind PC P&C all the way.....never had to deal with Customer Service for that PSU.....that says something indeed!

And FUD of course. Nevertheless their PSU are great. Seasonic for Silencers and Win-Tact for TurboCool server grade leaf blowers. :D

Because great price, great warranty, great customer support and last but not least quality PSU. Seasonic and CWT are very good OEM choices.

Not just the 750w, most of their line-up gets suggested (even from me and I'm Corsairs Nemesis lol).
They do their job, and they do it well.
They are reliable , efficent, and rock solid.

What more can one ask for?
