Default OCZ GameXStream 700W vs Mushkin 650W
which is better PSU? which one is louder? if you had to choose between the two, which one would you choose?

Hmm, Fortron vs. Topower, or high ripple in full-load vs. hit-and-miss. Frankly I'd go for Antec EA650 if your budget doesn't allow an Corsair TX650 or HX620.

I'm guessing that you're aiming to buy local, and those are the two most suited offerings? What kind of system are you powering? The GameXStreams are pretty consistent for bad voltage ripple at higher loads. If your system is never going to get anywhere near the PSU max, EVER, it might do the trick just fine. Otherwise, I'd probably give the Mushkin unit a shot.

Assuming, of course, that you're strictly limited to these two choices.

Well since you have both, the OCZ GameXStream would be the better choice IMO.
