Hey all, is this PSU: NCIX.com - Buy OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS 500W ATX12V 24PIN Active PFC ATX Power Supply 120MM Fan Black - OCZ500SXS In Canada. enough to power an E8400, 8800GTX, two HDs, one burner, all connected to a P5Q-Pro?

but i don't like ocz so i'd recommend something else.

I'm assuming your going with this one because it's cheap, in which case it should be fine.

Although personally I would go with a corsair or PCP&C but they are in the $100 range.

Okay, well this was for a friend, but I'm going to just give him my PSU and then buy a Quattro 850W for myself.. Then I'll have more upgrade options for a Nehalem system.

My 8800 GTS was fine off a 500W Antec Earthwatts PSU ... It would drop down into the 11.6V range under load, though, which wasn't too encouraging.

With the 8800 GTX and a power supply that's probably in the same league as that Antec, I would say it will probably be fine, but expect fairly significant voltage drops under load. I would probably spend the extra $20-$30 and get a 600W or better PSU.

After some consideration, I think I'm getting this for my friend: Anitec.ca - Cooler Master eXtreme Power 600W Power Supply It comes with two PCI-e power connectors already, so there is enough power for the 8800GTX.
