I think the G5 is the best mouse. I use one with both my laptop and main machine at home. The shape of the mouse feels better in my hand as compared to more narrow mice like the Razers or the new oddly-shaped G9.

I have just recently acquired a Steel Series Ikari laser...it's great...much better than the g9, but for palm grippers only though. A finger gripper like me will have some time getting adjusted to it.

so far I'm liking the G9 with my Razor Exact mat, seems like a good combo. As far as gaming keyboards go, I'm thinking of one of these two, seems they are the highest rated. I just picked up a razer ExactMat and Razer Lachesis today, going to compare it with my Logitech G7. I am a huge Logitech supporter, so will be interesting to see how my results turn out. Will post more later.

Ok, So i did a few hours of TF2 the other night using both the Razer Lachesis and the Logitech G7 with the Razer eXactMat. I thought the G7 was the best mouse i had ever used and would never replace it, which is why i was so skeptic about replacing it with the Razer Lachesis in the first place. After using the Razer Lachesis and the G7 for a few hours in multiple games of TF2 i came to the personal conclusion that the Lachesis is better. It feels smoother and quicker to respond than the G7 does... That's not to say the G7 does not respond fast enough. Like i said, i thought it was the best mouse I'd ever owned until now. But you can notice the difference between the two and when your using the Sniper in TF2 your going to really apperiate the Lachesis. I personally prefer the feel and grip of the Lachesis over the G7, but this is going to be different from person to person. The Razer eXactMat mouse pad is an excellent addition to the combination, i used the "speed" side of the mouse pad the entire time i was gaming and it is very smooth and nice. The only complaint i have about the Lachesis is it doesn't feel built to the same quality as the G7. I wish the Lachesis was wireless but than I'm betting it wouldn't be as good, which I'm guessing is why the Logitech G9 isn't wireless. All in all, the G7 is a good gaming mouse, but the Lachesis is better in my opinion. Futureshop has the Razer Lachesis on sale right now for $69.99 and that seems like a really great bargain. It currently sells for $79.99 on NCIX. The G7 is $119.99 at Futureshop, but I'm pretty sure you could find it cheaper some where else, I checked NCIX.com for current pricing but could not find it on there website. Hopefully this helps you guys decide on what mouse in the future.

i have tried: Logitech MX510 <- which is basically the same shape as MX518 Microsoft IntelliMouse 3.0 Razer DeathAdder And the one that felt the most comfortable was the DeathAdder. I could hold it with a claw style or palm it and it would be very comfortable for long uses. The intellimouse is good if you palm the mouse, same with mx510 imo. so i recommend the DeathAdder!
