Default Vengance K70: way better than a black widow

The black widow finally died so i picked one of these up. The build quality is miles beyond razer. I loved that black widow, but this beats it in every way, except for macroable keys (which i don't use).

Got the mx blues of course

So yeah, if you like blues, k70 is elegant, great for gaming and for coding.

I got one of the MX Brown K70's about a week and a half ago? Maybe more...anyways, great keyboard! Still adjusting to it slightly, but it's great and it looks even better!

It is a great keyboard, but for the money you can buy much better boards.

Such as? I've owned a Filco, other mechanical keyboards and I've tried the mainstream mechanical keyboards currently available. I failed to recognize any shortcomings compared to its peers other than a slightly higher price.

I'm extremely pleased with my K95. More so than I expected.

How are those keyboards better?

Objectively speaking, my Filco had no advantages over my K95. Those KBT keyboards are for an extremely niche audience. I've never used a Ducky, but I've read a lot of mixed things about their build quality and nothing to suggest they're better than a Corsair.

There may be better keyboards for other people, but in terms of build quality, Corsair is right there with the Filcos of the world. They may not be for geekhack minimalists, but they're fine keyboards.

I agree, love my K70 (MX Red). The black brushed aluminum finish is stunning and overall feels very well built. Plus its a totally standard layout, all the keys where I expect them to be.

How much is the K70 over there?

Thinking of getting a blue switch mechanical board but really the price is what gets me.. Though I can get a cherry made board for $100 inc VAT + Del.
Cherry Mx-board 3.0 Wired Professional Usb Keyboard.. | Ebuyer.com
Nothing too fancy, windows button lock, detachable cable, 14key anti-ghost rollover, no backlight / macro keys etc etc.. Just a keyboard really.

I concur, I have the K70 Cherry Red, I love it, and I also came from a Black Widow.
