PSA: Have wrist and/or elbow pain? Try this mouse

I was having some significant pain in my elbow, and numbnesss in my wrists so I decided to give a trackball mouse a try. After a few days I got pretty used to it. I use it on my laptop, and found the Logitech m570 trackball to be pretty good and most of my pain has gone:
Newegg.ca - Logitech M570 910-001799 Black 1 x Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser Trackball (I bought it at Canada Computers).

Might be old news to some, but if anyone out there was like me and was just avoiding looking for a solution or just putting up with it I would seriously give this a try.

It is a very comfortable mouse for a laptop. But I can't use it on my desktop. There is just too much real estate to scroll across. My thumb gets extremely sore.

I personally just use something like this as a wrist rest/mouse pad:

I have reduced down any wrist pain I used to have, I also have a cradle type one which is great for FPS but requires it's own mousepad

Both options allow me to use whatever mouse I want, wherever I go or work, rather then lugging or buying a mouse specifically.
