Internal USB3.0 headers, PCI-e card wanted

Do they make a PCIe card that has 2 internal USB 3.0 header plugs?

Silverstone SST-EC01+ 19 Pin Dual Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card - Silverstone Technology - SST-EC01+

Works fine. Lot's of folks looking for these kinds of things over the last little while. Pay close attention to other products though... some of them look like the right product but have standard USB 3.0 connections rather than the actual header.

If you're looking locally, it looks like memoryexpress NW has a few of a similar card which has 2 external ports additionally, for a few bucks more: Silverstone EC04 4-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express x1 Card at Memory Express

sorry... didn't notice the "2' " header bit... that might be a tough one... do you have a case that requires two headers?

it's an Antec Twelve-hundred V3, that has all three front USB 3.0 ports. As such... there are two USB 3.0 connectors that want headers on the mobo. Hope this makes sense.

Heh.... maybe I'm being dense, but I'm still not clear what you're looking for.......

Are you looking for 2 USB3 motherboard headers or 2 standard USB3 connectors?

Silverstone SST-EC01+ 19 Pin Dual Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card - Silverstone Technology - SST-EC01+

This one has a 19 pin motherboard header which covers two case plugs.....

Silverstone 4 Ports USB 3.0 Super Speed PCIe Card GEN2 x1 2 INTERNAL+2 External USB - Silverstone Technology - RL-EC04
This one appears to have 4 standard usb3 ports, but two are external and two are internal.

I have 2 of these

So technically, the most elegant solution I am looking for would be a dual-dual port PCIe USB3 adapter card?

sswilson June 27, 2012 05:05 PM

Yeah... I doubt that's going to happen..... ;)

Best bet (IMO) would be to attempt two of those silverstone units, but once you start getting into that, it starts to get expensive.

Do you have that many USB3 devices?

grinder June 27, 2012 05:25 PM

no. i just dont want to compromise if i dont have to. i'll probably go with the sivertstone if thats all there is. thx
