i say suck it up and get the k90. yeah it's expensive... but it's quality stuff. the brushed aluminum is nice. it's heavy and has the "not cheap" feel to it. keys are pretty loud in my opinion but i don't mind it. you won't find a nicer backlight than the one on the k90. a super bright LED for each individual buttons so no dimmer areas.

if you want to try it out, i know a few NCIX's have them for display

I just bought a metadot das ultimate instead of the k90. Its got the cherry blues - should do the job. The few non mechanical keys on the k90 just left me with some reservations.
