Wireless card

Not sure if this is the right pplace to post,

but what are the advantages of having a USB dongle wireless card vs PCI-e card?

USB:
Portability
Ease of use/access

PCI-E:
Better signal strength due to external antenna, and the ability to replace them with higher gain antennas with most cards
Don't have a usb stick hanging out all the time

There aren't really any advantages to external USB Wireless Adapters. I've typically only seen them being used if the internal wireless card is dead and cannot be replaced. Typically they are used as a "quick fix" as internal wireless cards have much better signal strength.

My computer sits down on the floor at a corner. So, I use a Belkin N+ usb adapter which comes with a long cable so I can put it on the top of my monitor, thus receiving a very strong signal.
