Looking for UPS and voltage regulator.
I was thinking of getting something to regulate the voltage going in to my computer.
It would be nice to get one that is also a universal power supply.
I do not know anything about these devices.
Can anyone suggest something for my computer?
UPS with AVR.
Cyberpower and APC both make units.
UPS is uninterruptible power supply just as an FYI :thumb:
A good one would be a APC Smart UPS (Make sure any that you look for have Pure or Real Sine Wave output).
Most of the Pro or Smart from APC would have it. Get a good 750W model.
If you want to give yourself a ton of room for up time after power fail:
APC Smart-UPS 1000VA LCD 120V
Well...the price seems to be getting higher than i'd like, so I would try and bring that price down by looking at one that "doesn't" have "a ton of room for up time after power fail"...or is just a device to regulate my voltage.
If that is to much then you must have cheap electronics :P
I was expecting inbetween $300-500.
I was just thinking that maybe i'll skip the power supply and just get the voltage regulator...so that the costs aren't so high.
If I have to...I will spend the $500 to protect my system. I'm trying to look at all options before I buy.
