Default Mionix Hardware. Recommended

I recently stumbled across the Mionix Mechanical keyboard on NCIX, and thought I'd give it a better look as it has been something I've been meaning to try out for a while now. : NCIX.com - Buy Mionix Zibal 60 Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Black USB W/ 2 Port USB Hub - Mionix - ZIBAL-60-US - in Canada

It is built like a tank, perfect key layout, and the audio/USB ports are actually helpful now. That being said, its got poor backlighting, but that is about it.

Since I realised the build quality was so high on this, I also thought I'd try their mouse, as I've been looking for a replacement for my Steelseries Ikari Laser for some time now. NCIX.com - Buy Mionix Naos 5000 Laser Gaming Mouse 7 Button Programmable Ultrapolling 5040DPI USB2.0 - Mionix - 000MIO5000M - in Canada
It is almost the EXACT same shape as the Ikari, I absolutely love it. Hands down the best mouse I have ever had, and I have had ALOT of mice.

All in all, I'm quite in love with Mionix right now, and glad there is another gaming peripheral's manufacturer on the market who doesnt make crap.

I was thinking about that mouse, but the Naos 3000 (or whatever its called) didn't get a very good review here at all, so I was worried the 5000 would be a similar story. Also, I don't live near an NCIX so I can't buy it. Never will I buy something as particular as a mouse off the internet.

I did however buy the Mionix Propus 380 mouse pad and it is great. The glide is fantastic. The only issue I have is that the edges are somewhat sharp, I could really use a thin gel pad to sandwhich next to the bottom of the pad to get my arm off the edge. Maybe tape. I don't know.

I bought a couple of their mousepads from NCIX when they had a few in stock. Absolutely love it. Looks really good too. Propus380.

Propus 380 doesn't do much for me since it tracks very poorly with my other laser mice, but it's a good fit with the NAOS 5000, which is on my wife's desk (she loves it, and since I'm pretty much married to my Ikari Laser that's fine).

On my desk is the Zibal 60, which finally prompted me to replace my G15 gen1. I really like this keyboard. I kinda wish it had some more "features", but it's very solid and unlike the Steelseries mechanical keyboards, they have committed no cardinal sins in terms of layout like short backspace.

I have the mouse pad on back order right now, I was hoping it would compliment the Naos well ;)

Does your wife get irratated by the sharp edges, or do I just have incorrect posture? I find when I sit straight up it isn't as bad.

You could "grind" down the corners a little if it bothers you.
