Default best wireless controller for PC

So I love the keyboard and mouse for most games but some of the titles I really prefer a controller..... (Skyrim) I see the Microsoft xbox controller for around 50-80 dollars but is there anyone that is like the ps3 that I can buy for my PC.

I would suggest the 360 controller hands down,
worst comes to worst you could always use a PS3 controller i guess.

Yeah, the 360 controller really tends to be the easiest option on PC, it has the most out-of-box support.

Yeah, +1 to XBOX 360 controller. Every game now-a-days supports it since typically speaking PC games are ported from consoles...

Plus IMO the XBOX controller is far better designed than Sony's DualShock stuff

Unless you use the D-pad 99% of the time for your games, xbox 360 controller is the far better way to go

Yup I wasnt to keen on the actual pad before I bought mine, I prefer the sony style myself, but have to admit I love this 360 now. Plug and play goes along way IMO, I hated having to setup my controller, half the time you have to do it in a profile but with a 360 plug, simple setup in 90% of games and play.

Newer controllers have the rotating D-pad, which is supposed to be better.

I don't think the wireless kit contains the new controller though, and I don't know if the wireless dongle is still available on its own...

The Razer Onza also has a pretty nice looking D-pad, but then you don't get wireless.
