That was a great guide, and i'd buy in to mechanical keyboards if logitech stepped in and designed one like the G510 or the G15.

Turns out my dad has an old ibm model M, so I am going to give that a try.

I've been looking as well and I might settle on browns. I might just grab the Das Silent with the browns but I've also looked at the Ducky 9008 which I'd have to import or get shipped here from the US at a fairly ridiculous price.

I am leaning toward the Das Silent myself. After having used the model m for a bit I don't think I could pull off long typing/gaming sessions with something as "stiff" as the buckling spring switch, and cherry mx blacks are even stiffer.

I am not one really to accidentally press keys so I doubt I'll have issues with the mx browns, and the non-linear keys on this model m seem perfectly fine for gaming (well outside the activation force).

Just got the Razer Black Widow Ultimate, so far I really like it, tried COD-BO's, LOTRO, Rift so far.

I ended up buying the das keyboard silent, uses cherry browns. Very nice to type on, and I am obviously very light on the keys as there is no way I would accidentally press any keys. Would have preferred if it didn't have glossy plastic though.

Going to take a whirl in a couple games.
