Opinions about Samsung printers

So I am looking at getting a color laser multi-function printer. I am sick and tired of my inkjet running out of ink after barely even using it.

Now I am somewhat cheap when it comes to this so don't bother recommending something that is like $350+.

The one I am looking at is the Samsung CLX-3185N

I am looking at it because I can get it for $200 (sale ends tomorrow night) I have found somewhat mixed reviews but nothing too terrible and nothing too great.

Anyone have experience with either this printer or Samsung printers in general?

I've had a Samsung ML-1630 laser printer for like 3-4 years and it has been pretty good. Although honestly I don't use it all that much. Only replaced the toner once in that time.

No problem using a ML-1620 for a few years, heard the same about MFPs from Samsung from a few of my customers. You should be pleased.
Brothers also makes a few good ones too.

No worries with that. I have had my share of issues with them and will not be getting an HP printer ever again.

depends which hp's. the cheap ones? maybe
the higher up the food chain ones? those are solid.

I disagree. I have a 1600 Color Laser that I hate with a passion...

Yea, even the medium expensive ones at work we have hated with a passion. As for my last HP, it actually was a great little multi function printer. Unfortunately HP decided that they would not put functional drivers out for it when Vista and 7 came out, so sure it could print but I couldn't scan anymore. That was kind of the last straw with HP.

Anyways and more importantly, any more thoughts on the Samsung?

Just so people know, my initial impressions are pretty good. It is slower that a lot of lasers but so far it is working great and was incredibly nice and simple to get set up on my network.
