Logitech Illuminated is one of my options, and i really dont mind keys with a short keystroke - im used to typing on laptops. As long as its solid I'll like it.... so was it solid feeling? lol

Ill take other suggestions as well, of course :P

I think I've kept my Illuminated for over 2 years now, and I replaced it recently with a Black Widow Ultimate. It's definitely a superb keyboard, and I only retired it because some keys are double-actuating for each stroke because I mashed on it for such a long time.

I'm not a big fan of membrane keyboards so I can't give any recommendations there

I've had my Illuminated for almost as long as Jackquelegs now and I find it's a great keyboard. It's definitely solid and has a really good weight to it. I haven't run into any problems at all so far and would definitely recommend it. I've never tried any Razer keyboards though so I can't compare.

Depending on what you are actually doing with it (Gaming or otherwise), I'd have to say the G110 I have from Logitech is pretty solid.
It has 3 different programmable modes for colour and G-keys , as well as being able to set the colours from a Pallet..

I've only owned 4 serious keyboards (the rest I used were Dell $5 ones lol).
But by far this one has withstood a year of abuse now without fail, fault, or any obvious signs of wear.
It is comfortable, quite and has very good feel and response on the keys.
True it can't replace the feel you get from a mechanical keyboard, but regardless it is right up there.

I bought the solar-powered Logitech kb, for shits and giggles. Looks like a nice unit, and from the 'egg reviews it has a good feel. We'll see.
