Lexmark $4.99 ink carts? Just saw an ad for lexmark printers which promoted the fact that some of their lines have high yield (500 sheet) black carts for $4.99. So far (quick look), the one I've come up with is this model which is discontinued..... All Products | All-in-Ones | Lexmark Prestige Pro805 |Lexmark Looks like it might only be on their higher end business MFPs, but it's certainly a move in the right direction if we can convince other printer manufacturers to go the same route. Anybody else heard anything on this? From the google search I did, it appears that this has been around since last spring... seems strange that I didn't hear anything about it. edit: Here's one that doesn't appear to be EOL..... All Products | All-in-Ones | Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901 |Lexmark It's pricy, but at least it's a duplex MFP. |
Yeah saw it in the Staples flyer a few days ago. Although the colour ink is the more typical $50ish. I'd say your mainly paying for that colour touchscren though. If they removed that, the printer would probably be closer to $150. My X7675 has been running pretty well for a few years now. It also uses XL cartridges, but at the normal price of $50. I still get quite a few pages out of it and it has duplex along with Ethernet and WiFi. |
