My System Specs

Default Networked B&W laser printer
Im looking for a network laser printer for home. Im just printing documents. I have an inkjet to use for colors.

Im looking in the range of $150 or less (if its possible). Big advantage is cheap toner/drum replacement. Multifunction is the least importance.

I think most of us agree to say stay away from HP. Samsung and brother are some sure value here are 3 of them ;)

Simple, not expensive and work great.

My vote goes to the Brother 2170W. I bought it for $99 on sale a few years back and I couldn't be more satisfied. Absolutely no problems thus far, and hell, i'm still on my original toner cartridge!

Keep your eyes open for a B/W Duplex samsung on sale. I grabbed one at Staples for around $100 (on sale) and couldn't survive without my duplex feature now... ;).

while i would agree that most hp's in that price range are crap there are some good hp printers. It just seems they have decided to forget the home user market. Having said that i don't actually own a HP printer but rather a brother and love it. (it's color though). Get a brother or a samsung and you will be happy. (unless you can find a 1320 or a laserjet 4 those things don't die.)
