My System Specs

Default Replacing north/south bridge cooler

I want to change the north and south bridge cooler on my HTPC build for something to do and just to make it nice and cooler, now my only question is would these fit on the northbridge? It looks a little bigger then normal if I'm not mistaken,

I would want to use either one of these two,

Akasa Cool Blue Anodized Univeral Chipset Cooler - 40mm Blue LED Fan (AK-210) - FrozenCPU.com

or

Thermaltake Spirit A1000 Aluminum Forged Active Chipset Cooler w/ Blue LED Fan (CLC0051) - FrozenCPU.com

Edit: Also how would I get the old heatsinks off the board? Would there be a pin underneath or something?

not sure about those two with that mobo.

the stock coolers may not seem like much, but they actually do work.

now, if you really want to properly do things, try and see if you can fit a couple enzotechs. not only they look great, but they cool pretty well as well :

depending on the cpu cooler and gpu's you'll use, you may want to go for short/tall square/round ones.

Anything with a small 40mm fan like that is going to be noise and will not be good for a HTPC. Go for a passive heatsink like the Enzo's if you can find one that fits.
