Default Looking for a mamba replacement
Im looking to replace my Mamba (damn thing is squeaky, and it now and again teleports across the screen). Iv got my eye on the G9x, or a G500.

Anyone got anything privy to my interests on these or other good mice?

My final choices came down to the G9x and the Sidewinder X8. I opted for the wireless X8. I am used to using much smaller mice and "finger gripping" them, so it took me a long while to get used to. I really like the 3 DPI buttons for FPS IE: low DPI for sniping.

I like the X8, but i have big hands, and am a big guy who likes to rage on his mouse... (like squeeze lol...), but the G9X isnt exactly long, but it is wide and tall, so I can spider-grip it. The mamba has been decent but its a tad to long, and not tall enough. Shame to, the thing costed me a fortune.

What bout a RAT7 btw? Parentally its garbagio.

I have a G9 right now and its a really sick mouse. My only complaint is that the satin rubber coating on the grip has started to come off on my mouse. I'm gonna get a RAT7 after I'm done all my upgrades though.

Anywhoo, the RAT7 has a poor build quality and a fragile laser.

I haven't used a lot of the newer mice but recently tried a friend's Razer Deathadder and was pretty impressed. I'll be putting it on my Christmas list

The G9X gets my vote. The satin grip or wide grip on the first generation G9 did peel but on the G9X it feels less rubbery and so far no peeling after 4 months of solid use in fact it still looks mint.

tactx is basically a g9x in a different shell, would recommend it when its on sale from dell... expect $40
