My System Specs


synergy works very nice, it even splits extremely well between windows and linux computers. Last time i used it, i had to disable it in full screen applications like games which made it a PITA (it might be fixed now in the recent release, who knows).

good point about KVM's and high performance mice, high definition monitors typically don't look good through a KVM either, and DVI/dual-DVI kvm's are crazy expensive.

a separate keyboard/mouse looks very attractive money wise compared to some of those expensive KVM's which are still a crap-shoot depending on your application.
