My System Specs

Default Need a very good Joystick.

My MSFF stick died and I need a new one. I am looking for one that is similar to the MSFF as I can almost feel the weight of the aircraft when using the controls.I tried a few already but when you move up down or whatever, the plane zips all over the place. Not very realistic at all. I hope you flight simmers know what I mean.I have IL 2 1946 and I have heard that most joysticks are designed for jets rather than WW2 prop planes. As always, any help is very much appreciated.I'm not too concerned about cost but I don't want to go crazy either.Thanks.

Take a look to order CH product joystick. They are amasing and pretty realistic. I also have a X52 from saitek which is pretty good. You also have the new baby from logitech the G940 but I never try this one out so I have no idea.

Flight System G940

I already saw the same problem of the jpystaick being very to much sensible for aircraft and it's not a joystick problem it's a calibration trouble. the last time I re-install FSX my CH yoke and my saitek joystick were doing this but after some troubleshooting and reading it get fixed. Good luck!

Thanks M I took a look. The stick itself does not look all that solid. I'll check ouy some reviews. I don't reall want anything other than the joystick but if the package does the job, then I wiil consider.

not a big fan of the logitech's sticks, i do love Saitek's stuff thought

Pro Flight Range

i own a X52 Pro and just love it, fully customizable but takes some time to do, the saitek Yoke system is awesome, solide, i had the chance to play with it for a few days a while ago, and i just loved it(but its price tag is hard on the eye's for the complete set witch is what i had) it made me fell like a little boy again with all the levers and buttons, radio stack, switch panel, throttles

The logitech was only an exemple. I am sure you will find more what you search in those.

CH Products - Retail Gaming Joysticks

They are not looking these solid but they are. I use one of these ( yoke ) for about 4 years now and have no issue to this date. The saitek listed above is also a better choice compare to the logitech. IMO logitech are overpriced piece of hardware.

I haven't found any new sticks that are equal to, or better than, the old MS sidewinders. Not since USB. I haven't simmed all that much since then (the days of Combat FS 2 ), but I've tried most of the newer ones. Please post back with your results of the search.

I saw a Saitek Cyborg evo Force Feedback joystick on the British Saitek site but cannot find it listed for sale anywhere in North America. Totally awesome! You might want to check it out.
