My System Specs

Default what would you choose?

I am looking at getting a mouse. I like having several programmable buttons since I have gotten used to using an MX 1000.
so what I am currently looking at is
the MX revo
pros: it is similar in shape to the MX1000 and has lots of buttons
cons: it runs on 2.4GHz band so I have found that things on that frequency really don't like my wireless internet.

the G500
pros: it is wired so it cant interfere with my network connection
cons: from what I have heard, it is quite small

sidewinder X8
pros: it has lots of buttons, can be wired or wireless
cons: it is microsoft, so I am worried about the drivers, when it is wireless it is 2.4 GHz

any other opinions would be appreciated.

I doubt I'll ever go back to wireless mice on my desktop. after trying a few mice, I really like my G9 but if I were in the market for a new one, I would be tempted to try the g500- I love the classic logi shape, it is a tried and true design, with up to date performance.

My personal choice to replace my current MX-518 will be the Coolermaster Sentinel. I read a few reviews and seems to be a pretty good mouse for the price.

I'd personally consider a wire a con rather than a pro. I can't stand dragging wires around with my mouse. Plus, now that I'm back to using my wired mouse (wireless mouse got dropped in moving and doesn't work properly), I miss the responsiveness of my wireless one.

I like wireless mice, but I hate charging batteries.

People usually told me that wireless mouse are not good for gaming, but I never try a real good wireless mouse.

People will tell you a lot of things, but in the end it's not the mouse that matters, it's the person using it.

read the rest of my explanation if why being wired is good. I have found that newer wireless devices like to kill 802.11 G signals. so I would prefer wireless but if it is necessary, I would go with wired to prevent interference and as has been stated better more consistent responsiveness.
