so i when to staples, and i told them i was looking for cannon or samsung printer for under $150. one of them sales persons recommend me this Staples .

I really like the look of it and how small it is compared to other ones and its cheap too. what do you guys think? I would like a $80 one like acadiancrusader said but they don't have them where i live

I was gonna get a black and white only printer by the cheapest one is at $200

As for inks for the samsung CLP-315 it cost $56 and it say it can print up to 1,500 pages. So what do you guys think of this printer?
ANd would i be able to print with just the black ink installed?

Thanks again for the advices, keep them coming.

I'm a bit concerned about how much a colour toner might cost.

Here's the one I'm using.....

NCIX.com - Buy Samsung ML-2851ND Laser Printer 30PPM 1200X1200DPI Duplex 32MB USB Ethernet - ML-2851ND/XAA In Canada.

Duplex + ethernet FTW.......... :)

wow, great price/page Mr. Wilson. It can print a page for about 2cent

Right now i am printing at .096 Cent per black and white
$50 for the color pack (it lasts twice as long as the black ink) and $23x2 for black ink and it can only print about 800-1000 pages

Anyone else want to share your printers choices?

color toner has a crazy up-front cost, but the savings work themselves out in the end.

Keep in mind... color re-productions on ink are far superior to that of color re-productions on laser. Laser color is perfect for power point slides or reports or stuff like that, but digital camera re-prints on color laser pale in comparison to ink. (in the consumer market anyway).

Like a few in here have said, get an inkjet for colour & a laser for B&W.
I'm very happy with my Canon MX850 alone but still am on the lookout for a cheap, dependable laser with rj45 network hookup. The MX850 has spoiled me with the ease of network printing.
