Thumbs up Bluetooth Keyboard+Mouse combo Recommendations

Hey guys, my wife has a MoDT (Mobile on Desktop) computer and it has blue tooth. Very small footprint - Aopen Minipc - MP45-BR.

She would like a wireless (BT) keyboard/mouse combo for a very clean looking workspace. She does not care for any external dongles for RF based products.

Any recommendations on which setup would suit her needs. I was thinking a mac keyboard and mouse - form factor is nice and small.

Most of what she does is email, excel, word, websurfing, and listening to music while she works.

thanks
S

I haven't seen any Bluetooth stuff in quite some time.

Last I had was a MX5000 which was utter shit. Absolutely horrible Bluetooth performance, keys would get "stuck" and repeat non-stop, or it would have serious lag.

I used to use the EX110 RF wireless combo. Only keyboard now since the mouse keeps saying low battery even if i put a new pack of batteries.

Default Bluetooth Keyboard

I use this one for my HTPC . I really like it...plus no need for mouse as it has a touch pad. Battery life and range is excellent. NCIX.com - Buy Logitech Dinovo Edge Bluetooth Ultra Slim Wireless Keyboard Rechargable LI-ION W/ USB Mini Receiver - 967685-0403 In Canada.

I agree. The MX5000 is something you should avoid. The bluetooth performance is a real pain in the . There are apparently numerous "interference" problems that have never been resolved. On the logitech website, they actually recommend that you do not place the transmitter/receiver near your monitor or near your computer case.

Oh I did all that, I had a USB extension with the receiver right behind the keyboard. It work, for the most part, but still acted up quite a bit.

+1 to the problems with the MX5000, that set was HORRIBAD, random disconnects always, horrible bluetooth issues, very bad battery life on both the mouse and the keyboard. I tried everything to stop the disconnects I even had the stupid USB dongle on an extention so it was litterally TOUCHING my keyboard and it still disconnected or the mouse would randomly lag very badly while gaming. Stay far away from that set.

The dnivo edge is a great keyboard though, I really want to grab one for when im using my pc from the living room.

Yep, I moved the USB as far as possible away from any of the problem areas and it still acts up occasionally. Usually when I'm playing a game and at a critical point in the action.

Yeah it was always fun to be doing something important then all of a sudden have you charecter wandering around in a circle or something stupid while you frantically try and get your keyboard to reconnect....
